The Greene International Golf Association, Inc. is dedicated to promoting the healthy, recreational and economic benefits of the pursuit of golf in Greene County. As such, it intends to recapture the strong customer base its member courses enjoyed with New York City, Long Island and New Jersey and to reach beyond to Pennsylvania, New England and Canada. To accomplish this end, the Association will seek government and private support, form mutually-beneficial alliances with community resources, generate corporate sponsorships and market itself, its members and its area in the most strategically expeditious and effective manner fiscally available.

The Greene International Golf Association, Inc. is soundly committed to preserving and promoting the golf history of this vital region of the Catskills. No other industry in Greene County has had the staying power, the expanse of influence, the cultural diversity or been responsible for preserving and beautifying thousands of acres for public use than the golf course industry. The benefits of documenting this rich history of places, times, individuals, groups and families are amply demonstrated by the varied and extensive publics that have already expressed interest in the project, including sports and leisure consumers, health and fitness enthusiasts, every age, every culture, environmental and beautification supporters, cultural heritage planners, seniors, youth, students and school systems, families, etc.
